Job summary

ARCO National Construction is seeking a Traveling Construction Superintendent to lead commercial and industrial design-build projects across the United States. You will guide field operations, manage subcontractors, and partner with the project manager to deliver successful projects from post-award through completion.

Ideal candidates bring 5–25 years of lead superintendent experience, proficiency with Procore/Bluebeam/Excel, and a willingness to travel nationwide.

Qualifications

• 5–25 years of construction experience as a Lead Superintendent.
• Willingness and ability to travel throughout the United States.
• Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Excel proficiency.
• Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to meet physical demands including walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Lead field operations and jobsite execution across commercial and industrial construction projects.
• Direct teams, resolve conflicts, and maintain project schedules.
• Attend post-award review and begin preconstruction planning.
• Develop construction schedules with PM, determine manpower and equipment needs.
• Oversee project to meet specs, schedule, and profitability.
• Coordinate subcontractors to meet project timelines.
• Prepare progress and cost reports reflecting actual costs.
• Review requisitions, POs, invoices, and key documents.
• Maintain communication with PM on progress, plans, and cost/schedule issues.
• Create daily reports documenting project details and events.
• Enforce safety program adherence and uphold company values.
