Job summary

The Austin Company, located in Mayfield Heights, OH, seeks a Project Engineer to join our design, engineering and construction team on active projects. You will manage document controls, inspect work, and support the Project Superintendent to keep schedules.

Travel to project sites up to 100% is required. A degree in Construction Management or Engineering and 3–5+ years of project engineering experience, plus proficiency with Procore and subcontractor coordination, are preferred.

Qualifications

• Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• 3–5+ years of Project Engineer or related construction field experience.
• Ability to travel to project sites (up to 100%).

Responsibilities

• Provide administration/management of document controls for the site office.
• Inspect work to ensure compliance with plans and specs.
• Assist Project Superintendent with management tasks.
• Review subcontractor reports and compile daily construction reports.
• Conduct site orientation for new workers.
• Promote safety in all construction operations.
• Conduct site safety and housekeeping audits.
• Monitor and record manhours and safety statistics.
• Produce project documents via Procore (RFIs, Submittals, Non-Compliance notifications, Logs, Change Orders, COs, Minutes).
• Facilitate Schedule Review Meetings and Pull Planning Sessions.
