Job summary

Terracon seeks a Traveling Construction Materials Technician to support testing, inspection, and documentation across a nationwide portfolio of projects. The role requires frequent travel and the ability to work on transportation, commercial, wind, and other sites in various regions.

The position offers per diem, a monthly cell phone stipend, and support for certifications, with opportunities to advance within an employee‑owned organization.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience or equivalent training.
• Experience with laptop use and Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Performs testing, observation, and inspection as directed.
• Provides clear documentation of findings and results.
• Performs basic analysis of data before submitting to the Project Manager.
• Communicates information to Project Manager and team as directed.
• Assists higher level technicians on complex tasks.
• Maintains assigned equipment and calibration.
• Drive a vehicle as required.
• Adheres to safety rules and pre-task planning.
• Maintains quality standards on all projects.
