Job summary

Terracon Consultants, Inc. seeks a Traveling Construction Materials Technician to advance your field testing career.

This role involves 100% travel across our Eastern Midwest division, including Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky and West Virginia, supporting transportation, commercial, wind energy, and other projects nationwide on-site. You will collect data, document findings, and communicate with Project Managers while maintaining safety and quality across diverse sites.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 6 months experience required
• Willingness to travel up to 100% and for extended periods
• Flexibility to work varying schedules, including overtime weekends
• A valid driver’s license may be required

Responsibilities

• Assist on basic testing and observations under supervision
• Provide clear documentation of findings and results
• Communicate data to Project Manager for submittal
• Submit documentation and communicate results as directed
• Maintain assigned equipment
• Follow safety rules and pre-task planning
• Maintain quality standards on all projects
• Work independently with limited supervision while meeting productivity expectations
• Collaborate in cross-team environments across locations
