Job summary

Guardian Real Estate Services LLC is seeking a Roving Community Manager to travel to affordable properties in or around the Portland Metro area and SW Washington. The role oversees staff, ensures compliance with housing programs and laws, and maintains property health and resident satisfaction.

The position requires 4–5 days of weekly travel, supervision of staff, and effective coordination with Portfolio Managers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• At least 1 year of experience managing a multi-family community.
• At least 1 year of experience in affordable housing (HUD, RD, or Tax Credit).
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong mathematical skills and basic understanding of property budgets and financial accounting.
• Ability to speak, read and write in English.
• Effective communication skills, written and verbal.
• Willingness to travel to projects in/around Oregon and Washington.

Responsibilities

• Represent Guardian in a positive and professional manner at all times.
• Coordinate to ensure property management obligations are met and exceeded.
• Manage operations in compliance with local, state, and federal laws (Fair Housing, Landlord Tenant Laws, OSHA).
• Assist in developing operating budgets and capital budgets per owner objectives.
• Analyze and report monthly financial statements and variances.
• Administer budgets and improve efficiency and resident satisfaction.
• Ensure compliance with affordable program requirements.
• Complete income certifications and recertifications timely and accurately.
• Coordinate revenues following lease obligations and Guardian policies on accounts receivable.
• Lead site staff and coordinate with Portfolio Manager and HR.
