Job summary

Key People is seeking a Traveling Assistant Superintendent for multifamily new construction projects across the Southeast and beyond. The role focuses on coordinating with subcontractors, scheduling, safety, planning, and providing leadership to maintain project goals within timeframes.

The candidate should have exterior and hardscape experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage budgets, resources, and risk on complex builds. Travel is full-time for extended periods.

Qualifications

• Experience in multifamily NEW construction projects (not rehab/remodel).
• Strong ability to read blueprints and interpret plans.
• Proven track record coordinating with subcontractors and managing schedules.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with subcontractors on production, schedules and deliverables.
• Ensure subcontractor compliance with safety policies and plans.
• Coordinate project activities with company personnel.
• Review status reports, shop drawings, and modifications for schedules.
• Provide technical advice and resolve problems with project personnel.
• Assist in directing the project including safety, resources, budget, scheduling, and quality.
• Review and submit works and purchase/change orders to superintendent.
• Attend and direct project status meetings and assist in problem solving.
• Travel full-time and adapt to working at multiple locations for extended periods.
