Job summary

ARCO National Construction is seeking an Entry Level Traveling Assistant Superintendent to lead commercial and industrial design-build projects across the United States. You will oversee field operations, coordinate subcontractors, and support the project manager from preconstruction through completion.

This role offers travel across the U.S., hands-on experience, safety leadership, and exposure to an award-winning workplace culture with strong opportunities for growth and ownership from day one.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of construction experience on large-scale warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, or cold storage projects
• Willing to travel throughout the United States
• Proficiency in construction management software (e.g. Procore, Bluebeam, MS Excel)
• Current, valid driver's license in your state of residence

Responsibilities

• Lead field operations and jobsite execution across commercial and industrial projects
• Demonstrate strong leadership and resolve conflicts effectively
• Attend post-award reviews to gather project details and begin planning
• Help develop construction schedules in collaboration with the project manager
• Oversee work to meet specifications, stay on schedule, and support profitability
• Coordinate subcontractor activities to ensure timely performance
