Job summary

ARCO National Construction seeks a Traveling Construction Superintendent to lead commercial and industrial design-build projects across the United States.

This senior role requires ownership of jobsite execution from post-award through completion, leading subcontractors, maintaining schedules, enforcing safety and quality, and partnering with the project manager to deliver successful projects for our clients.

Qualifications

• 5–25 years of experience as a Lead Superintendent or similar role.
• Willing to travel throughout the United States.
• Proficiency with construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, MS Excel).
• Current valid driver’s license in your state of residence.
• Ability to meet physical demands of field work.

Responsibilities

• Lead field operations and jobsite execution across commercial and industrial projects.
• Direct subcontractors, manage schedules, and ensure safety and quality standards.
• Attend post-award review meetings and assist in preconstruction planning.
• Develop construction schedules with the project manager and coordinate manpower and equipment.
• Oversee project execution to meet specifications, schedule, and profitability.
• Coordinate subcontractors and track progress, costs, and reports.
• Maintain communication with the project manager on plans and issues affecting costs or timelines.
