Job summary

ARCO National Construction is seeking an Entry Level Traveling Assistant Superintendent to lead commercial and industrial design-build projects across the United States. You will oversee field operations, manage subcontractors, and partner with the project manager to keep projects on schedule and within budget.

This role offers hands-on learning from day one, emphasizing safety, quality, and customer satisfaction while traveling to diverse sites.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of construction experience on large-scale projects
• Willing to travel throughout the United States
• Proficiency in construction management software (e.g. Procore, Bluebeam, MS Excel)
• Possess and maintain a current, valid driver’s license in your state of residence
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job including standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds

Responsibilities

• Lead field operations and jobsite execution across commercial and industrial projects
• Direct teams, resolve conflicts, and maintain schedule adherence
• Attend post-award reviews and assist in preconstruction planning
• Develop construction schedules with project manager: sequencing, manpower, equipment
• Oversee project quality, safety, and profitability targets
• Coordinate subcontractor activities to meet project timelines
• Prepare progress and cost reports reflecting actual costs
• Review requisitions, field PO’s, invoices and key documents
• Maintain communication with project manager on progress and issues
• Complete daily project reports with key details
