Job summary

ARCO is seeking a Traveling Assistant Superintendent to lead field operations on construction projects, ensuring safety, quality and adherence to schedule and budget. The role requires experience as a superintendent or foreman and hands-on management of subcontractors and on-site teams.

The ideal candidate will travel to project sites, coordinate with project managers, prepare progress reports, and enforce safety and quality policies while representing ARCO’s standards on every job site.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as a superintendent or foreman on construction projects.
• Able to make decisions under tight deadlines.
• Able to organize people, tools and equipment to manage multiple activities.
• Demonstrated leadership and ability to address conflict.
• Strong commitment to quality and customer expectations.
• Proficient in Word, Excel and Outlook; able to use scheduling software.

Responsibilities

• Attend project kickoff and planning meetings to gather information and set preconstruction details.
• Coordinate with project manager to develop construction activities, staffing, and equipment requirements.
• Direct and control the project to meet specs, budget and schedule.
• Assist project manager/engineer with shop drawings, material samples, and timely approvals.
• Coordinate subcontractors to integrate their work with the schedule.
• Prepare progress and cost reports reflecting actual costs and alerts.
