Job summary

Vestas is hiring a Resource Technician for a 100% travel role across the Southern US (TX, OK, NM, AZ, CA). This remote position pays hourly and offers travel-driven earnings with potential to exceed $100,000 per year through overtime and bonuses.

You’ll grow your electrical and mechanical skills while supporting wind energy projects nationwide. You’ll join a team focused on powering communities with clean energy, receiving training (GWO Safety & Technical) and PPE to perform safely.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months with a Wind Technician certificate, or 1 year of wind turbine experience, or 2 years in mechanical or electrical fields.
• Highly developed problem-solving abilities and an engaged approach to responsibilities.
• Safety-conscious and committed to best practices.
• Able to work well with others and enjoy collaborative environments.
• Physically fit, comfortable working in various conditions, and at heights.
• Ability to speak, read and follow instructions in English.
• High school diploma or equivalent, valid driver’s license, and legal work status in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain wind turbines with your team.
• Travel to different sites, work with diverse teams, and engage with varied experiences, including travel management and cost coding.
• Conduct safety inspections and ensure a secure working environment.
• Address advanced problem-solving tasks with effective self-management.
• Work on construction and installation projects, overseeing the full life cycle of turbines.
• Exposure to a wide range of turbine platforms, site conditions, and team environments.
