Job summary

NextEra Energy is seeking a Wind Field Service Technician III (Travel) based in the Cottonwood/Grand Island area. This role requires extensive travel (4 weeks on the road, 1 week at home) to ensure safe, reliable wind farm operations.

You will perform maintenance, diagnostics, and long-term equipment reliability tasks, with duties spanning safety compliance, lean projects, team development, and coordination with site managers for timely reporting and turbine availability.

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver's license (NON CDL)
• Ability to climb a wind turbine up to 300 feet
• Post-Offer Functional Capacity Eval

Responsibilities

• Travel extensively with short notice within the company fleet.
• Perform maintenance and repair on wind turbine power generation equipment.
• Conduct electrical, electronic, and mechanical troubleshooting.
• Maintain all company supplied equipment, facilities, and tooling.
• Complete Safety Mentor training curriculum within 6 months of hire.
• Complete Wind Field Service Technician III training curriculum within first year.
