Job summary

NextEra Energy Resources is seeking a Wind Technician to perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on wind turbines and related equipment at the Cottonwood/Little Cotton Wind operations near Blue Hill, Nebraska. The role focuses on safe field-based maintenance, diagnostics, and improving long-term reliability.

You will work with electrical and hydraulic systems, interpret fault reports, and support turbine performance monitoring and SCADA workflows.

Qualifications

• High School Grad / GED.
• Experience: 0+ years.
• Post-Offer Functional Capacity Eval.
• Valid Driver's License (NON CDL).
• Ability to climb a wind turbine up to 300 feet.

Responsibilities

• Performs regular preventative maintenance and repair on wind turbine power generation equipment.
• Completes electrical, electronic, and mechanical troubleshooting.
• Maintains all company equipment, facilities and tooling.
• Applies basic understanding of technical and process functions.
• Able to meet training requirements within designated time frames.
