Job summary

Pacific Office Automation is seeking a Wide Format Service Technician to support customers nationwide. This home-based role requires approximately 50% travel, mainly across the Central and Eastern U.S.

You will install, service, and train customers on wide format equipment, perform diagnostics, and coordinate site readiness and software compatibility. The ideal candidate will have 2–6 years in field service for wide format systems, strong technical and customer-service skills, and experience

Qualifications

• 2–6 years minimum of relevant field service experience.
• Experience servicing wide format equipment and related technology.
• Experience with Canon wide format equipment preferred.
• Working knowledge of Onyx software and RIP workflows preferred.
• Strong computer and networking knowledge.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to travel ~50% across the Central and Eastern United States.

Responsibilities

• Provide phone and onsite technical support to customers.
• Diagnostics, troubleshooting, repairs, software upgrades, and maintenance on production print equipment.
• Complete equipment installations, deinstallations, relocations, and operator training.
• Follow up with customers after installations to ensure satisfaction.
• Coordinate upcoming installations, confirm site readiness and RIP compatibility.
• Maintain service records and documentation accurately.
• Assist customers with color management and production workflows.
