Job summary

Aerotek in Duncan, SC is hiring a Pipe Welder for a long‑term project. This contract role involves overseeing welding, pipe fitting, and material handling, with per diem and weekly pay.

The position focuses on GTAW, GMAW, and FCAW welding in a pipe shop environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency with 3" stainless tests, 6G position welding on carbon steel, and the ability to read welding symbols and WPS.

Qualifications

• Construction, installation, and fabrication experience.
• Strong leadership capabilities in high-pressure pipe shop environments.

• Assist with pipe grinding, cutting, beveling, shipping, loading/unloading, and material handling using stand jacks, hand trucks, pallet jacks, and forklifts.
• Pass a 2" monster coupon test in the 6G position and perform root and fill to flush welding.
• Assist fitters with pipe and fitting preparation.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Pipe Welder to oversee welding, pipe fitting, and material handling tasks. The ideal candidate will have expertise in welding techniques, pipe fitting, and material handling, ensuring high-quality work and adherence to safety standards.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
