Job summary

Acuren is seeking a Visual Inspector in New Castle, DE to support operations as a callout/travel position. You will inspect pressure-retaining equipment to API 510/570/653 and ASME standards and report on equipment conditions.

Responsibilities include issuing technically accurate reports, making repair or replacement recommendations, and providing metallurgical input. Travel to client sites will be required.

Qualifications

• API 510/570 certification is required.
• 5–10 years' experience or 2+ years on-site experience.
• API 653 or CWI is a plus.
• In-depth knowledge of API 510/570 and ASME standards.
• Experience supporting petrochemical facility engineers.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual and non-destructive examination of pressure-retaining equipment per API/ASME standards.
• Submit technically accurate reports documenting equipment condition.
• Provide recommendations for repair, re-rate, replacement or alteration for safe operation.
• Provide technical input on welding and metallurgical issues.
• Provide guidance on application of NDE techniques and procedures.
• Fully comply with client and site safety practices and participate in safety initiatives.
• Willingness to travel as required.
