Job summary

Acuren is seeking a Visual Inspector with API 510/653 and NDT expertise to support operations in Raleigh, NC. This is a callout/travel position requiring field inspections of pressure retaining equipment in line with API and ASME standards.

Responsibilities include documenting equipment conditions, offering technical repair/re-rate recommendations, and providing input on welding/metallurgical issues. Travel willingness is required to support client projects and safety initiatives.

Qualifications

API 510/653 certification is required.
5–10 years’ experience or 2+ years on site experience.
Additional API 570 or CWI is a plus.
In-depth working knowledge of API 510/653 and ASME standards.
Experience supporting petrochemical facility engineers.

Responsibilities

Perform visual and non-destructive examination of static and dynamic pressure retaining equipment following API and ASME standards.
Submit technically accurate reports documenting equipment condition.
Provide technical recommendations for repair, re-rate, replacement, or alteration of plant equipment for safe operation.
Provide technical input on welding and metallurgical issues.
Apply non-destructive examination techniques and procedures.
Comply with all safety practices and participate in site safety initiatives.
Willingness to travel as needed.
