Job summary

Acuren Inspection, Inc. in New Castle, DE is seeking a Visual Inspector - API 510/570/653 to support field operations. This is a callout and travel role requiring assignments at client sites across locations.

The position focuses on visual and non-destructive examination of pressure-retaining equipment, ensuring work adheres to API and ASME standards, with clear, technically accurate reporting and recommendations to keep facilities operating safely and reliably.

Qualifications

• API 510/570 certification required.
• API 653 or CWI is a plus.
• 5–10 years’ experience or 2+ years on site.
• In-depth working knowledge of API 510/570 and ASME standards.
• Experience supporting petrochemical facility engineers.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual and non-destructive examination of pressure retaining equipment per API/ASME standards.
• Submit technically accurate reports documenting equipment condition.
• Provide technical recommendations for repair, re-rate, replacement, or alteration of plant equipment.
• Support welding and metallurgical issues with technical input.
• Provide guidance on application of NDE techniques and procedures.
• Comply with all safety practices and participate in site safety initiatives.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
