Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Minimum of 2 years of operating room experience required.
• Strong knowledge of sterile technique, surgical instrumentation, and perioperative procedures.
• Ability to participate in call coverage and respond within required timeframes.
• License required if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons and the surgical team during operative procedures, including maintaining sterile technique, handling instruments and supplies, retracting tissue, and supporting patient positioning.
• Prepare operating rooms, instruments, equipment, and supplies for scheduled procedures.
• Support perioperative patient care including patient transport, positioning, specimen management, documentation, and postoperative preparation.
• Participate in on-call coverage and be prepared to scrub urgent or emergent procedures within required response times.
• Work alongside surgeons, anesthesia providers, nurses, and surgical staff in a collaborative team environment.
