Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist with at least 2 years of experience for a 13-week acute care Operating Room contract in Colorado Springs. The role requires CST credential, BLS, and an active license window; travel housing and licensure reimbursements are provided.

Responsibilities include support for General, Neuro, Robotics cases in a high-volume OR with Epic EMR, 12-hour day shifts, and structured orientation.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of Surgical Technologist experience required.
• BLS certification (AHA)
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential via NBSTSA
• Colorado DORA license required if applicable
• Experience in General, Neuro, and Robotics surgical cases required
• Active state or compact license required at time of submission; pending licenses not accepted

Responsibilities

• Acute care hospital Operating Room with 16 suites averaging 30 cases per day
• Common cases include General, Ortho, Robotics, Neuro, Spine, Urology, and ENT surgeries
• Epic EMR used for charting
• 12-hour day shifts scheduled 8:30a-9p with set schedules and option to block
• Approximately 120 hours of call required per contract, self-scheduled between weekdays and weekends
• One weekend call shift required per 6 weeks with holiday call preferred but not required
• Call response time of 30 minutes with an on-site sleep room available
• Minimal floating expected, with potential to float within Zone 1 (PEN, SFH, SFI, SMC, STM) only in extreme circumstances
• Support surgical procedures across multiple specialties in a high-volume operating room
• Scrubs are provided by the facility
• Unit-specific orientation is 1 week, with general orientation totaling 12 hours
• Clinicians must be in-state for orientation week, even if initial modules are completed remotely
• Candidates must reside at least 60 miles from the facility
• Copy of driver7s license required for consideration
• Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including employment dates and rehire eligibility
