Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months of core work experience in the specialty area with recent experience within last year.
• Epic EMR experience required.
• 1 professional reference dated within the last year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN.
• Last 4 digits of SSN and full DOB required for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Hospital surgery department with 5 ORs.
• Case types include general surgery, ortho, podiatry, ophthalmology, GYN, urology, and OB.
• 13-15 cases performed per day.
• 10-hour day shifts, 40 hours/week, with potential 8-hour shifts at 36 hours/week.
• On-call rotation required, including weekday, weekend; every 5th weekend for first scrub, every 10th weekend for second scrub.

American Traveler is seeking a Surgical Technologist for a hospital OR setting, requiring CAAHEP program graduation and BLS certification.

Requirements

• Minimum 12 months of core work experience in the specialty area, with recent experience within the last year
• Skills required include opening cases, setting up and maintaining sterile OR fields for total joints, C-sections, laparoscopic, cataract, GYN, and urology procedures
• Epic EMR experience required
• 1 professional reference dated within the last year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN required
• Last 4 digits of SSN and full DOB required for consideration

Responsibilities

• Hospital surgery department with 5 ORs
• Case types include general surgery (hernia, exploratory laparotomy, colon, gall bladder), ortho (total joints, sports), podiatry, ophthalmology (cataracts), GYN (hysterectomy, salpingectomy, hysteroscopy), urology (cysto, stents, laser stone, TURP), and OB (C-section)
• 13-15 cases performed per day
• 10-hour day shifts, 40 hours/week, open to 8-hour shifts at 36 standard hours/week
• Call rotation required, including 1 weekday on-call shift plus weekend rotation
• Weekend rotation every 5th weekend (Saturday/Sunday) and every 10th weekend for second scrub (8a-5p)
• On-call coverage required for emergent cases on closed holidays
• Epic EMR used
• No floating required
• Open and maintain sterile OR cases across multiple service lines
• Supported by receptionist/HUC, charge nurse, respiratory therapy, hospitalist, anesthesia/CRNA, and transport/CNA staff
• 1-week orientation provided
• Green scrubs provided
• Clinical interview required with final manager approval
• First-time travelers will not be considered
• Candidates with 1 year of experience will be accepted
• 50-mile radius rule applies; local candidates not accepted
• Returning employees must be separated from the facility for at least 1 year after a permanent position
