Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a CVOR Surgical Technologist with cardiovascular experience for a 13-week travel assignment supporting complex heart and vascular surgical cases.

The role requires 2+ years of CVOR tech experience, BLS, and Epic charting proficiency, with CST NBSTSA preferred. Responsibilities include assisting in Heart, Heart/Lung, and Transplant CVOR cases, with a 3x12 shift schedule and on-call coverage.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years CVOR Surgical Tech experience required.
• BLS certification required.
• CST certification preferred; NBSTSA preferred.
• License required if applicable.
• Experience with vascular procedures including AAA repair, AV fistula repair, carotid endarterectomy, EVAR, and femoral popliteal bypass graft.
• Experience with cardiovascular procedures including aortic aneurysm repair, CABG, ECMO insertion/decannulation, mitral valve replacement, pericardial window, TAVR, and VAD.
• Epic charting experience required.

Responsibilities

• Hospital CVOR unit supporting Heart, Heart/Lung, and Transplant surgical services.
• Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 6:30 to 19:00.
• Weekend coverage as needed and holiday coverage as needed.
• On-call requirements include 4 stay-late shifts and 4 first or second call shifts per month.
• No floating required.
• Epic charting system required.
• Support complex cardiovascular and vascular surgical procedures in a specialized CVOR setting.
• First-time travelers may be considered as no restriction was specified.
• Returning employees from the health system must have separated for at least 1 year before being eligible for travel positions.
• Local candidates within 75 miles are accepted at the local rate.
