Qualifications

• Basic computer skills and ability to navigate web-based applications.

Responsibilities

• Support CVOR unit within the Cardiovascular Institute.
• Focus on cardiac surgery, cardiac transplant, and endovascular procedures.
• Also covers open vascular/endovascular, thoracic, thoracic robotics, and general surgery.
• Shift schedule includes 6:45a–5:15p with variations, and midweek longer shifts.
• One weekend per month on cardiac/cardiac transplant/endovascular coverage.
• On-call Friday 7pm–Monday 7am with 30-minute response time.
• Weekly short call shift (5:15p–7:15p or 6p–8p)
• Overnight call weekly (7:00p/7:30p–6:45a/7a) for cardiac cases.
• Eligible to work holidays while on contract.
• Priority scrubbing of cardiac/vascular cases.
• Preferred teaching-hospital experience and specialty expertise.

• Hospital-based CVOR unit within the Cardiovascular Institute
• Cardiac surgery, cardiac transplant, and endovascular procedures as priority focus
• Also involves open vascular/endovascular surgery, thoracic surgery, thoracic robotics, and general surgery
• Schedule includes 4-10s primarily 6:45a-5:15p, with 7:30a-6:00p Wednesdays, and rotating 9a-7:30p shifts
• One weekend per month required for cardiac, cardiac transplant, and/or endovascular coverage
• On-call required Friday 7pm to Monday 7am with a 30-minute response time
• One 2-hour short call shift weekly (5:15p-7:15p or 6p-8p Wednesday)
• One overnight call shift weekly (7:00p/7:30p to 6:45a/7a) for cardiac, cardiac transplant, or endovascular cases
• Eligible to work holidays while on contract
• Priority focus on scrubbing cardiac and/or vascular surgical cases
• Preferred experience in a teaching hospital setting
• Preferred specialty area expertise
• Weekly orientation occurs every Monday, barring holidays
• COVID vaccine plus booster and flu vaccine required, with medical exemptions allowed
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be considered
• Local candidates will not be accepted
• Previous BILH employees (travel, perm, or per diem) must have a 6-month separation from the facility before being considered
• RTO requests must be submitted at time of consideration
