American Traveler, LLC. seeks a CVOR Surgical Technologist for a community hospital in Texas. NBSTSA or NCCT certification and 2 years CVOR experience required.

The role features a day shift (6:30 AM–3:00 PM) with call requirements and occasional weekend coverage. Proficiency in sterile technique and intraoperative setup is essential to support cardiovascular and vascular procedures in a fast-paced CVOR setting. Travel housing assistance and licensure reimbursements available.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years CVOR experience required.
• BLS certification required.
• NBSTSA or NCCT certification required.
• Level II Trauma experience preferred.
• License required if applicable.
• Proficiency in aseptic technique, isolation precautions/PPE, and universal protocol time-out procedures.
• Experience with sterile processing, set/tray assembly and instrument preparation.

Responsibilities

• Community hospital CVOR unit with potential float to main OR.
• Cardiovascular patient population with 1:1 patient ratio.
• Day shift schedule, 6:30 AM-3:00 PM, 5x8 hours.
• Call requirements and occasional weekend coverage.
• Performs vascular procedures (AAA repair, carotid endarterectomy, TEVAR, femoral popliteal bypass).
• Performs cardiovascular procedures (CABG, TAVR, VAD, mitral valve replacement).
• Altera charting experience preferred.
• Support cardiovascular and vascular surgical procedures in a fast-paced CVOR setting.
• Assist with sets/trays assembly, instrument preparation, sterile field maintenance.
• Perform specimen handling, labeling, wound care/dressing changes.
• Facility onsite drug screening and 72-hour lab work window.

• Facility conducts its own onsite drug screening upon arrival, including marijuana testing
• Clinicians must complete required lab work within 72 hours of accepting an offer or have a documented plan for completion
• Previous facility staff must have a 1-year gap in employment before returning as a traveler
• Local candidates accepted within 150 miles for RN/LVN roles
• Local candidates not accepted for Allied/CNA roles, with a 50-mile radius rule
• First-time travel candidates may be considered
