Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist for a night shift OR position on a travel assignment. Requires NBSTSA or NCCT certification, BLS preferred, and Trauma Level II experience with at least 2 years in surgical technology.

Responsibilities include 1:1 patient care across CVOR, L&D, Pedi CVOR, and Trauma OR, with a 3x12 night schedule (Thu–Sat, 18:30–7:00). Cerner charting and Da Vinci Xi experience are pluses.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in surgical technology.
• NBSTSA or NCCT certification required (BLS, NBSTSA, and NCCT preferred).
• License required if applicable.
• Teaching hospital, community hospital, LTAC, and Trauma Level II experience required.
• Trauma Level I experience preferred.
• Prior travel experience required.
• Proficiency in aseptic technique, instrument processing, isolation precautions/PPE, sterilization/disinfection, and specimen handling.
• Experience with Universal Protocol (time out) procedures.

Responsibilities

• Hospital OR setting including CVOR, Labor & Delivery, Pedi CVOR, General OR, and Trauma OR.
• 1:1 patient ratio.
• Night shift (3x12 Hours), Thursday to Saturday, 18:30-7:00.
• No call requirements.
• Cerner charting system experience preferred.
• Supports a wide range of surgical specialties including vascular, gynecology, orthopedic, neurosurgery, cardiovascular, urology, ENT, thoracic, and general surgery procedures.
• Assist in a variety of surgical procedures across multiple specialties including vascular, orthopedic, neurosurgery, cardiovascular, and general surgery.
• Maintain sterile fields and ensure proper instrument and equipment handling throughout procedures.
• Support robotic-assisted surgeries including Da Vinci Xi system cases.
• Operate and maintain equipment such as electrosurgical units, drills, cell savers, and fiber optic light sources.
• Facility conducts its own onsite drug screening, including marijuana testing, with mandatory compliance.
• Local candidates within 50 miles not accepted for this position.
