• Floating within scope to meet facility needs; some holidays and weekends may be required.
• Travelers may be considered; first-time travelers welcome.

American Traveler seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist with urology experience and laser certification for an OR position requiring 2 years of experience.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of OR surgical tech experience required
• Must have urology procedure experience
• Laser Certification required

• CST and ACLS certifications preferred
• NBSTSA certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Work in the OR surgical services department performing urology procedures including circumcision, cystectomy, cystoscopy, nephrectomy, prostatectomy, and ureteroscopy
• Also performs laparoscopic assisted cases and lithotripsy/ultrasonic lithotripsy/ESWL procedures
• Day shift schedule, 4x10 hour shifts from 6:30 AM to 4:30 PM
• Block scheduling accommodated Monday through Thursday
• No weekend or on-call requirements
• Floating within scope required to meet facility needs
• First-time travelers will be considered for this position
• One RTO request accepted, must be submitted and approved prior to assignment
• Travelers must separate for a minimum of 90 days after a 1-year assignment before returning
• Former permanent employees must be separated for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius to be eligible, as locals are not accepted for this role
• Expect to work some holidays and weekends
• Floating assigned in rotation with facility staff according to clinical experience and facility floating policies
