Qualifications

Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist.
BLS certification required (AHA only).
NBSTSA certification required; NCCT not accepted.
License required if applicable.
Radiation badge required, to be provided by the assigned agency.
First-time travelers considered only if they have experience across all required specialty areas.
Full SSN required for consideration.
Experience with Isolation Precautions/PPE and Universal Protocol (Time Out) procedures.

Responsibilities

Acute care hospital with 286 staffed beds and a 9-room OR suite.
Day shift schedule, 4x10 hours from 6:45 AM to 5:15 PM.
Cases include General Surgery, Robotics, Orthopedics, Podiatry, Gynecology, Eyes, Urology, and ENT.
On-call required, including 4 weekday calls and 1.5 weekends within a 4-week period.
Floating between service lines required, but not to sister facilities.
Epic charting system used, Cerner experience preferred.
Block scheduling may be accommodated pending manager approval and unit needs.
Support surgical procedures across a wide range of specialties in a fast-paced, high-volume OR environment.
Facility provides scrubs

All RTO must be submitted at time of consideration; requests made afterward will not be accepted.
Previous MUSC perm or PRN staff must be separated from the system for 1 year before returning as a traveler.
Local candidates accepted on a case-by-case basis within a 60-mile radius, typically at a reduced rate.
Non-local candidates are prioritized over local candidates
During hurricane season (June through November), staff may be assigned to emergency response teams
Facility may call off up to 1 shift per 2-week period
