Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist with strong ortho and general surgery experience for a Main OR position in a hospital setting in Florida. This is a 13-week contract with 12-hour day shifts and-call responsibilities.

The role requires travel and prior experience across multiple surgical specialties, including robotic cases, with housing and licensure reimbursement options. Applicants must have a minimum of 2 years of experience, BLS certification, Epic EMR

Responsibilities

• Work in the Main Operating Room department.
• 12-hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM, 36 hours per week.
• 13-week contract assignment.
• Call required as needed, including weekends and holidays.
• Scrub across ortho joints/trauma, general surgery, robotics, trauma, urology, and PBS cases.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience required
• BLS certification required
• Epic EMR experience required
• FL license required if applicable
• No work history gaps over 30 days without explanation
• At least 1 reference dated within the last 12 months
• Strong scrub experience across multiple surgical specialties

Responsibilities

• Work in the Main Operating Room department
• 12-hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM, 36 hours per week
• 13-week contract assignment
• Variable days with no guaranteed block scheduling
• Call required as needed, including weekends and holidays
• Scrub experience needed across ortho joints/trauma, general surgery, robotics, trauma, urology, and PBS cases
• Emphasis on orthopedic and general surgery experience for this position
• Prior travel experience highly preferred
• Maximum of 8 total RTO days permitted for the 13-week contract
• No RTO permitted during the first 2 weeks of the assignment
• Facility-issued scrubs provided
• Manager interview required prior to placement
• Seasonal influenza vaccination required, with medical exemption requests allowed for the 2025-2026 season
• Accepts local candidates
