Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU for a 13-week assignment in Kearney, Nebraska. This position offers a 12-hour night shift and a 48-hour work week, with travel benefits and competitive pay.

The Stepdown RN will support patients transitioning from ICU to medical-surgical care, requiring strong telemetry monitoring and cardiac care skills. Licensure, BLS, and ACLS are required.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN
• Current Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
• Current ACLS Certification (AHA/ARC)

Responsibilities

• Monitors cardiac rhythms and telemetry data; responds to abnormalities
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments with focus on cardiac care
• Prepares equipment and assists physicians during cardiac procedures
• Maintains patient safety and comfort for telemetry patients
• Documents nursing history and assessments for telemetry patients
• Initiates patient education focused on cardiac health and lifestyle changes
• Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care
