Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a 15-week travel assignment in Kearney, NE. The role requires a Stepdown RN with 1 year of recent experience, valid RN license, BLS and ACLS certifications, and a focus on cardiac care.

You'll work 36 hours weekly, on a 12-hour night shift, in a travel employment setup with competitive pay and benefits. PACU/telemetry experience and PCCN/NIHSS qualifications are preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN.
• Current RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC).
• Current ACLS Certification (AHA/ARC).
• Preferred PCCN Certification.
• NIHSS Certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and telemetry data.
• Administer prescribed meds and treatments with a focus on cardiac care.
• Prepare equipment and assist with cardiac procedures.
• Maintain patient safety and comfort for telemetry patients.
• Document assessments and notify physicians of changes.
• Respond to life-threatening emergencies following protocol.
• Educate patients about cardiac health and risk factors.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team for patient care.
