Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Kearney, Nebraska. The PCU RN will care for patients who require close monitoring and regular assessment, but aren’t unstable enough for ICU care, working 12-hour night shifts with 48 hours per week.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of recent acute care experience and hold ACLS, BLS and NIH certifications. This 13-week travel assignment offers a tax-free stipend and a robust benefits package.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years recent acute care experience.
• ACLS and BLS required; NIH certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care; stabilize cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications.
• Monitor and adjust equipment; interpret displays.
• Initiate corrective action when monitoring shows adverse symptoms.
