Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Stepdown RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Newton Lower Falls, MA. The selected nurse will monitor cardiac patients, administer medications, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide safe, high-quality care. Starting 10/4/2026, pay ranges from $2,055 to $2,186 per week.

Requirements include 1 year of stepdown experience, valid RN license, and BLS/ACLS certifications. PCCN and NIHSS are preferred.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN
• Current Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
• Current ACLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
• Preferred PCCN Certification
• NIHSS Certification

Responsibilities

• Monitors and interprets cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and telemetry data
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments with a focus on cardiac care
• Prepares equipment and aids physicians during cardiac procedures
• Maintains awareness of comfort and safety of telemetry patients
• Documents nursing history and assessments for telemetry patients
• Initiates patient education plans focusing on cardiac health and lifestyle changes
• Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care
• Adheres to safety protocols and infection control guidelines
