Job summary

Soliant in Greenville, NC is seeking an experienced RN for a contract in a fast-paced stepdown unit, delivering high-acuity care to patients recovering from critical illness or surgery. Requirements include an active RN license, 1+ year stepdown or progressive care experience, ACLS/BLS, and strong assessment, critical thinking and communication skills.

Shift schedule is full-time with days, nights and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted RN license.
• Demonstrated clinical experience in a stepdown or progressive care setting.
• Competency in monitoring patients transitioning from ICU.
• Proficient in medical monitoring equipment and electronic health records.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuous, high-quality nursing care to stepdown patients requiring close observation.
• Monitor vital signs, recognize clinical changes, and escalate concerns appropriately.
• Administer medications and treatment according to established protocols.
• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, respiratory therapists, and case managers.
• Educate patients and families on post-ICU care processes, recovery expectations, and health management.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with all regulatory standards.
