Job summary

Soliant is seeking an experienced RN for a Stepdown unit in Norfolk, VA. The role requires an active RN license and 1+ year of stepdown experience, providing patient-centered care and collaborating with physicians and respiratory therapists to develop care plans.

You will monitor cardiac and respiratory status, manage IV medications, educate patients and families, and support discharge planning in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in good standing.
• 1+ year stepdown or progressive care experience.
• Proficient in cardiac/respiratory monitoring and telemetry.
• Ability to administer IV medications safely.
• Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered care for stepdown patients and monitor for changes.
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists and staff on care plans.
• Perform assessments and document findings accurately.
• Administer medications and manage IV infusions and equipment.
• Educate patients and families on post-ICU recovery and health management.
• Support discharge planning and continuity of care.
