Job summary

Soliant is seeking a Stepdown RN to provide high-quality care for patients transitioning from ICU in a fast-paced unit on a contract assignment in North Carolina. You will monitor vitals, administer medications, and collaborate with the care team to implement tailored care plans.

The ideal candidate holds an active RN license, 1+ year Stepdown/Progressive Care experience, and BLS/ACLS certifications, with strong assessment, communication, and documentation skills to excel in this role.

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted RN license
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in a Stepdown/Progressive Care Unit
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Ability to adapt quickly within fast-paced healthcare environments
• Excellent communication and documentation skills

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to Stepdown unit patients, closely monitoring vital signs and recognizing early signs of patient deterioration
• Administer prescribed medications, treatments, and IV therapies as ordered
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to implement, evaluate, and revise care plans tailored to individual patient needs
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding recovery processes and ongoing care
• Ensure accurate, timely documentation of all care provided using the electronic health record system
• Uphold infection control, safety, and organizational policies at all times
• Participate in shift handoffs and multidisciplinary rounds
