Aufgaben

• Work every other weekend and rotate holidays as needed.
• Floating to sister facilities within 10 miles when required.
• Provide telemetry and step-down care including monitoring and drips.

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Stepdown/Telemetry RN with PA or Compact licensure for a night shift position requiring cardiac telemetry and PCU experience.

Requirements

• Active PA or Multi-State/Compact RN license required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (AHA certifications only)
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Cardiac Telemetry/PCU required
• Cerner charting system experience preferred
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Skills required include respiratory management (BiPAP/CPAP, chest tubes, HFNC, ABG interpretation), IV therapy/phlebotomy, central and peripheral line care, cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia management, and medication administration including cardiac drips and heparin protocols
• Social Security Number, date of birth, and RTO details required for consideration
• Valid driver's license required for consideration

Responsibilities

• Step down unit within a hospital setting
• Cardiac Telemetry/PCU patient population
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts
• Required to work every other weekend
• Floating required within scope and to sister facilities within a 10-mile radius as needed
• Provide telemetry and stepdown level nursing care including cardiac monitoring, rapid response coordination, and management of various drains and drips
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility based on driver's license address
• Local candidates not accepted
• Candidates must be willing to work every other holiday
• Travel pairs may be considered based on facility need, though matching schedules cannot be guaranteed
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Former permanent employees of the health system cannot return through an agency unless they have been separated for at least 2 years
• Travelers who complete a cumulative year of assignments within this health system must take a two-year break before becoming eligible to return
• Fingerprinting, drug screening, and required labs must be completed within 24-48 hours of signing
• All compliance requirements must be cleared by the Wednesday prior to start
• Located in Latrobe, Pennsylvania, offering access to the Laurel Highlands and nearby Pittsburgh
