American Traveler, LLC is hiring an experienced RN for a Telemetry/PCU position in Latrobe, PA. A PA license or compact license is required, with at least two years of cardiac telemetry experience and BLS/ACLS/NIHSS certifications. Strong cardio monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation skills are essential.

Central line and respiratory care experience are highly valued. The role offers 3x12 shifts with a 1:6 patient ratio, every other weekend, and potential floating to nearby facilities.

Formación

• Experience with cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation required.
• Experience with IV therapy and blood product administration required.
• Experience managing respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP and chest tubes.
• Fingerprinting, drug screen and required labs completed before start.
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius.

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Telemetry/PCU position requiring a PA or compact RN license and prior cardiac telemetry experience.

Requirements

• Active PA or Multi-State/Compact RN license required
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required (AHA certifications only)
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Cardiac Telemetry/PCU required
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management required
• Experience with IV therapy, central/peripheral/PICC line care, and blood product administration required
• Experience managing respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP, chest tubes, and oxygen administration required
• Experience with cardiac drip management and titration preferred
• SSN, DOB, and RTO must be provided for consideration

Responsibilities

• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting providing cardiac telemetry care
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• 3x12 rotating day and night shift schedule (7:00-19:30 / 19:00-7:30)
• Every other weekend required
• Floating within scope required to meet facility needs
• May be required to float to sister facilities within a 10-mile radius if needed
• Cerner charting system experience preferred
• Provide bedside nursing care for cardiac telemetry and progressive care patients, including monitoring, medication administration, and emergency response
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Candidates must be available to work every other holiday
• Block scheduling may be accommodated pending manager approval based on unit needs
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Former permanent employees of the facility are not eligible to return as travelers
• Local candidates are not accepted; candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius
• Fingerprinting, drug screen, and required labs must be completed within 24-48 hours of signing
• All compliance requirements must be cleared by the Wednesday prior to start
• Located in Latrobe, Pennsylvania, offering access to the Laurel Highlands and nearby Pittsburgh
