American Traveler is hiring a Stepdown RN with a TN or compact license and prior travel experience for a 13-week night shift assignment.

The role is on a 21-bed Stepdown unit with a 1:4 patient ratio, 12-hour night shifts (7p-7a), and weekend requirements. Cerner EMR is used, and Navy scrubs are required. Local candidates eligible at a lower rate; travel experience is required.

Qualifications

• Active TN RN license or compact license required at time of consideration.
• Minimum of 2 years RN experience required.
• Prior travel nursing experience required.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Hospital-based 21-bed Stepdown unit.
• Patient ratio 1:4.
• Navy scrubs required; 18+ patient population with cardiac/respiratory conditions.
• 12-hour night shifts, 7p-7a (36 hours/week), weekends required.
• Float to Med-Surg/ER as needed; Cerner EMR used.

• Patient population 18+ with varying cardiac and respiratory conditions
• 12-hour night shift, 7p-7a, 36 hours per week
• Weekend shifts required
• Float to Med-Surg/ER as needed
• Uses Cerner EMR
• Unit creates the staffing schedule with no block scheduling offered; flexibility required
• No on-call requirements noted
• Provide Stepdown-level nursing care to patients with cardiac and respiratory conditions
• Navy scrubs required
• Required to work 2 of the 3 designated holidays
• Time off requests must be submitted in advance and may not include more than one holiday
• No time off approved during a specified Epic Go Live period in the fall
• Local candidates accepted
• Radius rule of 75 miles applies, with local candidates eligible at a lower rate
• First-time travelers not accepted for this role due to prior travel experience requirement
