Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an RN - Stepdown for a 13-week day shift assignment in Keene, NH. Requires NH or compact licensure and cardiac drip experience. 12-hour days, 36 hours/week, with every other weekend and holidays. Epic EMR experience preferred and a vehicle is required for commute.

Beneficial to those with dementia care experience and NIHSS certification. Travel-friendly scrubs and housing allowances are provided where applicable, with travel reimbursements and per diem options.

Qualifications

• Active NH or compact RN license in-hand at time of consideration.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required.
• 2+ years of Med Surg experience required.
• Cardiac drip experience required.
• Dementia experience/management required.
• Epic EMR experience required.
• Must have own vehicle due to lack of public transportation in this community.

Responsibilities

• Stepdown unit within a 169-bed regional referral center.
• Adult-geriatric patient population.
• 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, 36 hours per week.
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required.
• Float to Kingsbury unit as needed.
• No on-call requirements.
• Uses Epic EMR.
• Coordinate total nursing care for patients and participate in patient and family teaching.
• Provide leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and patient care team members.
• Maintain standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting.
• Traveler-provided professional scrubs required with no logos.
• Must work two holiday blocks: Thanksgiving Day through the following weekend, Christmas Eve through Christmas Day and the following weekend, and New Year’s Eve through New Year’s Day and the following weekend.
• All requested time off must be submitted at time of profile upload; no more than 5 days of RTO accepted and no changes permitted after submission.
• Block scheduling will not be accommodated.
• Local candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will not be considered.
