Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking a Stepdown/PCU RN for night shifts with charge experience and a Medical-Surgical background. The role requires NH RN licensure, BLS/ACLS, and Epic EMR familiarity.

Responsibilities include working in Med Surg at a Critical Access Hospital, patient ratios up to 6:1 with support staff, and strict holiday time commitments. Local candidates do not apply; travel-ready candidates preferred.

Qualifications

• Active NH RN license (or Compact)
• BLS and ACLS (AHA) certifications
• 3+ years Medical-Surgical experience
• 2+ years PCU/Stepdown experience
• Charge nurse experience
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Travel experience preferred
• Must have permanent address and vehicle
• Skills checklists for Med Surg and Stepdown/PCU updated within 1 year
• Supervisory reference from past 2 years required

Responsibilities

• Work in the Med Surg unit of a Critical Access Hospital
• Patient ratio up to 6:1 with two LNAs, a Nurse Lead, and a House Supervisor
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts from 7:30 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend, holidays as needed
• No on-call requirements
• EMR: Epic
• Collaborative care planning and nursing standards in care processes
• Must work two full holiday blocks if scheduled (Thanksgiving through weekend, Christmas Eve through weekend, New Year’s Eve through weekend)
• No more than 5 days of RTO; time-off requests finalized prior to submission
• Local candidates not eligible
• Block scheduling and 48-hour guaranteed schedules not available

• Minimum 3+ years of current Medical-Surgical experience required
• Minimum 2+ years of PCU/Stepdown experience required
• Charge nurse experience required
• Epic EMR experience highly preferred
• Previous travel experience preferred
• Must have a valid permanent address and personal vehicle
• Skills checklists for Medical Surgical and Stepdown/PCU (current within 1 year) required for consideration
• One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years required for consideration
