The position offers a 3x12-hour schedule from 19:00 to 07:30, with 13- or 18-week winter contract options. Licensure must be OH or compact, with BLS/ACLS and NIHSS, plus telemetry interpretation proficiency.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in OH or compact state.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification.
• NIHSS certification required.
• IV start and telemetry certifications required.
• Epic charting experience required.
• Skilled in IV therapy and line care (PICC/CVC).
• Experience with cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation.
• Experience managing cardiac and vasoactive drips without titration.
• Labs/EKG interpretation within 72 hours of signing contract.

Responsibilities

• Stepdown unit caring for telemetry and surgical patients in a 39-bed unit.
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 7:30.
• 13 or 18 week winter contract options available.
• Requires reading and interpreting telemetry strips.
• Floating to Main, South, and North campuses based on census and skill set.
• Must work every other weekend and every other holiday.
• Provide direct patient care on a combined telemetry and surgical stepdown unit.
• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry readings for assigned patients.
• Maximum of 14 days RTO allowed per contract, with no negotiation after offer.
• Local candidates within 50 miles are not accepted.
• Previous PERM/PRN staff or agency travelers not extended due to tenure must wait 6 months before reapplying.
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position.

• Completion of lab work and EKG/Dysrhythmia exam within 72 hours of signing contract required
