Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an RN for a Cardiac Telemetry Progressive Care Unit in Massachusetts. An active MA license and Epic EMR experience are required, with BLS certification.

Travel-friendly candidates with trauma experience and ACLS/NIHSS preferred will be considered. Flu vaccination and COVID vaccines are required, with exemptions possible. 50-mile radius restriction applies to local candidates.

Qualifications

• Active MA RN license in hand.
• BLS (AHA) certification required.
• ACLS (AHA) and NIHSS certifications preferred.
• Must be able to titrate pressors.
• Level 1 trauma experience preferred, required for candidates without prior travel experience.
• Epic EMR experience required.
• Copy of current flu vaccination required during flu season.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Cardiac Telemetry Progressive Care Unit (PCU) of a hospital environment.
• Patient ratios between 1:3 and 1:5.
• 12-hour night shift schedule, 36 hours per week.
• Every other weekend required (Fri, Sat, Sun for nights).
• Floating required to ED holds, inpatient holds, PACU, and other boarding units in 4-hour blocks while on shift.
• Uses Epic EMR system.
• Weekly assignment start dates on Mondays.
• Provide progressive care nursing for cardiac telemetry patients while supporting boarding and overflow units as needed.
• Day one pass/fail testing administered, including Tele/ECG and Medication testsRelias practice tests available for preparation.
• COVID vaccine plus booster and flu vaccine required, with medical exemptions allowed.
• Candidates must live within a 50-mile radius; local candidates not accepted.
• Previous BILH employees (travel, perm, or per diem) must have a minimum 6-month break before returning to any BILH facility.
• First-time travelers considered only if they meet Level 1 trauma experience requirement.
