Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Progressive Care Unit with a MA RN license and Epic EMR experience. This role requires pressor titration and float pool duties in a hospital setting, with a 12-hour night shift schedule and 36 hours per week.

Experience in Level 1 trauma is preferred, and travel experience is considered. Nurses must be outside a 50-mile radius of the facility and complete onboarding tests and vaccines.

Qualifications

• Active MA RN license required.
• BLS-AHA certification required.
• ACLS-AHA and NIHSS certifications preferred.
• Epic EMR experience required.
• Must be able to titrate pressors.
• Level 1 trauma experience preferred, required if no prior travel experience.
• Must be separated from Beth Israel Lahey Health for a minimum of 6 months to be considered.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Nursing Float Pool of a hospital setting.
• Patient ratios between 1:3 and 1:5.
• Float to ED holds, inpatient holds, PACU, and other boarding units in 4-hour blocks.
• 12-hour night shift schedule, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, 36 hours per week.
• Every other weekend required (Fri, Sat, Sun for nights).
• Weekly start dates on Mondays.
• Provide progressive care nursing services within a float pool role.
• Day one pass/fail testing covering Tele/ECG and Medication; Relias practice tests available.
• Relias testing also required during onboarding.
• Required vaccines include COVID (with booster) and Flu, medical exemptions allowed.
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates not accepted.
• First-time travelers will be considered for this role.
