Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced PCU/Telemetry RN for a travel float pool across Arizona facilities. AZ or compact license and Cerner experience are required.

The role features a 3x12-hour day shift (7:00 AM–7:30 PM) with six weekend shifts over six weeks and a 6:1 patient ratio. Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facilities and have active BLS/ACLS, SSN, and driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Active AZ or compact RN license
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU/Telemetry experience required
• Experience managing cardiac drips and familiarity with TAVR and WATCHMAN/MitraClip procedures required
• No certifications expiring within first 30 days of assignment start
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• Active driver's license and US SSN required for consideration
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for this position

Responsibilities

• PCU/Telemetry step-down unit for patients transitioning from ICU-level acuity
• Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Requires working 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
• Float pool position requiring willingness to float between departments and four facilities: Northwest Medical Center, Oro Valley Hospital, Northwest Houghton, and Northwest Sahuarita
• Patient ratio of 6:1
• Cerner EMR experience required
• Care for cardiac patients requiring cardiac drip management and familiarity with TAVR and WATCHMAN/MitraClip procedures
• Scrubs of any color permitted
