American Traveler, LLC. seeks an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) at a 32-bed acute care hospital. You’ll work 12-hour night shifts (7p–7a) with telemetry and EPIC charting, handling CVA/TIA, STEMI/NSTEMI, and other cardiac cases.

Requirements include active WA or Compact RN license, 2+ years of RN experience, and current BLS/ACLS/NIHSS certifications. Travel experience is a plus; generous housing and reimbursements offered.

• Experience with cardiac drips including nitroglycerin, heparin, cardizem, nicardipine, amiodarone, insulin, dopamine, esmolol, labetolol, milrinone, argatroban, and aggrostat.
• CAPD experience is a plus but not required.
• Copy of driver’s license required for consideration.
• Two professional references required: one supervisor (last 12 months) and one peer/supervisor (last 3 years).

• CNA support at 1:8-12 ratio.
• Telemetry monitoring with remote tele monitor tech support.
• IV team on site 1100-2300; RT, pharmacy, phlebotomy 24/7.
• RRT RN available 24/7.
• Hospitalist and intensivist coverage 24/7.
• No ventilator management on this unit.
• Care for CVA/TIA, STEMI/NSTEMI, ACS, CHF, renal failure, respiratory distress, DKA/HHNK, PE/DVT, afib, and pre/post cardiac procedures.
• Read telemetry strips with remote support.
• High turnover unit with collaborative team.
• Unit orientation includes policy review, unit preceptorship, EPIC training.
• Holiday coverage required.
• Travelers must avoid unexcused absences >3 days.

• Care for patients with diagnoses including CVA/TIA, STEMI/NSTEMI, chest pain rule-out MI, ACS, CHF, acute and chronic renal failure, respiratory failure/distress, DKA/HHNK, PE/DVT, afib, and pre/post cardiac procedures such as angiogram, stenting, pacemaker placement, and ablation, as well as pre-CABG and CIWA patients
• Read telemetry strips with support from remote tele monitor techs
• Unit features a high patient turnover and a collaborative, cohesive team that welcomes travelers as integral members
• Floor-specific orientation includes 12 hours of policy/procedure review, 12 hours on the unit with a preceptor, and additional EPIC training as needed
• Holiday coverage required
• Travelers should avoid unexcused absences of more than three days to remain in good standing for the assignment
