American Traveler, LLC. is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) role focused on cardiac telemetry and advanced heart failure in Minnesota. Requires active or pending MN RN license, BLS/ACLS, and 1 year of specialty experience. ICU/CVICU and teaching-hospital experience are preferred.

The role supports day or night shifts (3x12) with weekend requirements and potential float to affiliate hospitals. Epic EMR experience is required.

Qualifications

• Active or pending MN RN license.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Minimum 1 year of specialty experience.
• ICU/CVICU experience preferred.
• Teaching hospital experience preferred.
• Skilled in IV therapy, phlebotomy, blood product administration, and peripheral/PICC line management.
• Experience managing cardiac and vasoactive drips; titration experience preferred.
• Telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and rapid response/code team activation.
• Experience with high flow nasal cannula, nasal cannula, and non-invasive airway management.
• Experience with wound care/wound vac and IV insulin protocols.
• Experience with pre/post hemodialysis management and renal failure care.
• LVAD and ventricular assist device experience required.
• 1 supervisor reference required for consideration.

Responsabilités

• Provide advanced cardiac and telemetry nursing care to PCU/Stepdown/IMC patients.
• Care for cardiac telemetry, post-MI, advanced heart failure, and renal/genitourinary cases.
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:3-5.
• Work day (7:00-19:30) or night (19:00-7:30) shifts; 3x12.
• May float within hospital or to affiliate hospital nearby.
• EMR use with Epic/Excellian.

Responsibilities

• PCU/Stepdown/IMC unit within a short-term acute care, Magnet-designated teaching hospital with Level III trauma designation
• Patient population includes cardiac telemetry, post-MI, advanced heart failure, and renal/genitourinary cases
• Patient ratio of 1:3-5
• Day shift (3x12, 7:00-19:30) and night shift (3x12, 19:00-7:30) options available
• Required to work every 3rd weekend
• Candidates may float within the hospital or to an affiliate hospital nearby
• Epic/Excellian EMR experience required
• Provide advanced cardiac and telemetry nursing care to progressive care unit patients
• Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Previous travel experience is not required
• RTO should ideally not exceed 5 days during the assignment
• Returning staff must have been separated from permanent employment for at least 3 months prior to starting a travel assignment
• References are not provided by the facility to travelers post-assignment or to former permanent employees
