Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking a PCU RN with telemetry/IMC experience for a day-shift travel assignment in Oregon. Requirements include OR RN license, BLS/ACLS, 1 year PCU/IMC or MS/Telemetry in last 3 years, and prior travel nurse experience.

Epic charting proficiency and ability to float within scope are expected. Shift is 4x12-hour days from 0700-1930, with every other weekend. Nurses must be able to handle cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmias, and telemetry with a supportive float pool and

Qualifications

• Active or pending Oregon RN license
• Current BLS and ACLS certification required, NIHSS preferred
• Minimum 1 year of experience within the last 3 years in PCU/IMC or MS/Tele required
• Prior travel nurse experience required
• Experience managing telemetry, interpreting cardiac rhythms, and managing dysrhythmias
• Experience managing cardiac drips (nitro, Cardizem, amiodarone)
• Skilled in non-invasive airway management, O2 protocol, and peripheral line care/management
• Experience with isolation precautions and PPE
• Rapid response team activation experience
• Epic charting experience required
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Community hospital and Level II Trauma experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting within a Magnet-designated, teaching, Level II Trauma Center
• RN patient ratio of 1:4-6
• Day shift schedule, 4x12-hour shifts from 0700-1930
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required within scope to meet facility needs, including to West Valley Hospital
• Uses Epic for computerized documentation
• Provide direct care to telemetry and progressive care patients, including cardiac rhythm monitoring and dysrhythmia management
• Part of a float pool team supporting adult inpatient units, including ED, ICU, rehab, vascular access, and sister facility West Valley Hospital
• Royal blue scrub color required
• RTO requests over 10 days require facility approval
• No first-time travelers accepted
• Local candidates accepted
• Former employees of this health system are ineligible for assignments until six months after their termination date
• Block scheduling is not accommodated
