Aufgaben

• Care for PCU/Stepdown/Telemetry patients in a hospital setting.
• Night shifts: 3x12-hour schedule.
• Monitor cardiac telemetry and manage dysrhythmias.
• Post-cath and post-cardiac surgery care.
• Manage cardiac drips and IV therapies.
• Use BiPAP/CPAP and non-invasive airway support.
• Central/PICC line care and IV therapy management.
• Provide direct patient care for cardiac and telemetry patients.
• Administer medications including heparin protocols.
• Possibility of floating between sister facilities.

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position requiring CA RN licensure, Epic experience, and at least 2 years of recent PCU/stepdown experience.

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience required
• Stepdown or ICU experience required
• Epic EMR experience required (hard requirement)
• Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and telemetry
• Skilled in IV therapy, phlebotomy, and blood product administration
• 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required
• Full SSN and DOB required for consideration

Responsibilities

• Progressive Care Unit (PCU)/Stepdown/Telemetry/DOU/IMC setting within a hospital
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts
• Cardiac telemetry monitoring with interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Pre/post cardiac catheterization and cardiac surgery care
• Management of cardiac drips without titration
• BiPAP/CPAP and non-invasive airway management
• Central line, PICC line, and IV therapy management
• Feeding tube care and management
• Epic EMR experience required
• Floating between sister facilities may be required
• Provide direct patient care for cardiac and telemetry patients in a progressive care setting
• Monitor and respond to cardiac dysrhythmias and emergencies
• Administer medications including heparin protocols and manage cardiac drips
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius
• Former permanent staff may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period and must reside outside a 50-mile radius
• First-time travelers are not eligible for this position
