Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced Telemetry RN for a hospital assignment with day and night shift options. Requires PA/Compact RN license, 1 year of nursing experience, ACLS/BLS, and NIHSS; travel nursing experience preferred.

Role includes performing direct patient care on a cardiac telemetry unit, potential float to sister facilities within 10 miles, and coverage during every other holiday. Fingerprinting and screenings required before start.

Qualifications

• Active PA or Compact RN license required.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant nursing experience required.
• Current AHA certifications: ACLS and BLS required, NIHSS required.
• Prior travel nursing experience required.
• Cardiac monitoring skills including dysrhythmia interpretation and management.
• Experience with telemetry (on-unit and remote monitoring).
• IV therapy, central/peripheral line care, and blood product administration.

Responsibilities

• Work on a hospital Telemetry unit.
• 3x12-hour Day (7:00-19:30) or Night (19:00-7:30) shift schedules available.
• Cerner EMR experience preferred.
• Float within the hospital as needed, based on unit-specific expectations.
• May be required to float to sister facilities within a 10-mile radius.
• Every other holiday coverage required.
• Provide direct patient care on a cardiac telemetry unit, including monitoring, medication management, and emergency response.
• Charge nurse experience preferred.
• Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred.
• Travel pairs may be accepted based on facility need, though matching schedules cannot be guaranteed.
• Fingerprinting, drug screening, and required labs must be completed within 24-48 hours of signing.
• All compliance requirements must be cleared by the Wednesday before start.
• Local candidates within a 50-mile radius are not accepted.
• Former permanent employees of the facility are not eligible to return as travelers.
• First-time travelers are not being considered for this position.

• SSN, DOB, and RTO information required for consideration
