Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in Jackson, TN. Requires a TN or compact RN license and PCU experience on a busy cardiac/pulmonary telemetry unit.

Night shift 3x12 hours, 18:45-7:15, Epic charting, 1:5 patient ratios, with travel housing and licensure reimbursements. Local candidates and first-time travelers welcomed; RTO must be disclosed.

Qualifications

• Must hold TN or compact RN license and be active.
• Current BLS, ACLS and NIHSS certifications required.
• Minimum 1 year PCU experience.
• Epic experience within last 18 months with competency exam.
• Experience with IV therapy, line care and PICC management.
• Respiratory skills: BiPAP/CPAP, ventilated care, chest tubes, ABG.
• Cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation.
• Experience with cardiac/vasoactive drips (no titration).
• Two supervisory references required and SSN/DOB for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Care on a cardiac/pulmonary telemetry unit (PCU/DOU/IMC).
• Maintain 1:5 patient ratio on night shift (3x12).
• Use Epic charting system for documentation.
• Float as needed and provide nursing care on a busy unit.
• Monitor dysrhythmias and respond with Rapid/Code teams.
• Manage patients post-MI, CVA, renal failure and post-surgery.
• Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred.
• Charge experience preferred; RTO must be disclosed.

Requirements

• Active TN or compact RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of PCU experience required
• Epic experience within the last 18 months required and must be documented, with successful completion of Epic competency exam
• Experience with IV therapy, central/peripheral line care, PICC line management, and blood product administration
• Respiratory skills including BiPAP/CPAP management, ventilated patient care, chest tube management, and ABG interpretation
• Cardiac monitoring skills including dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Experience managing cardiac and vasoactive drips (no titration)
• Two supervisory references required for consideration
• SSN and date of birth required for consideration
